From WEmpower to IWISTER STEM

IWISTER STEM grew out of a decade of real work. What began in 2019 as WEmpower Pakistan — a grassroots initiative connecting Pakistani women researchers across Beijing — grew into a network spanning two countries, 500+ members, 40+ webinars, and communities across 6+ countries. That journey taught us something important: the need for accessible, high-quality STEM education and mentorship goes far beyond any single community. IWISTER STEM is the next chapter — broader in reach, deeper in impact, and open to every learner, researcher, educator, and professional who wants to grow.
