Dr. Arfa Abrar Malik is a chemist, educator, and research mentor whose work bridges scientific discovery and global learning. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in China, and completed her postdoctoral research at Northeastern University in Boston. Her research has been presented at national and international conferences, including meetings of the American Chemical Society, and recognized with a Best Poster Prize at Celebrating Women’s Careers in Chemistry (NESACS) at Harvard University.

Across institutions in Pakistan, China, and the United States, Arfa has built more than a decade of experience teaching, mentoring, and guiding emerging scientists, from undergraduates entering the lab to researchers preparing their first publications. She has completed the Foundations of Evidence-based Postsecondary Teaching course as well as formal training in inclusive research mentorship, grounding her approach in proven, learner-centered teaching practices. She has also organized professional development and career workshops on three continents.

At IWISTER STEM, Arfa leads strategic partnerships and institutional growth, drawing on her international network and her belief that knowledge should open doors. She is committed to expanding access to STEM education, mentorship, and research opportunities for learners everywhere.
